Sheriff's Blotter Identity thieves used stolen credit and debit cards to make purchases on Los Angeles Avenue between May 29 and June 10. On June 8, someone broke a window and kicked a door while trying to get into the Secret Garden restaurant on High Street. Vandals caused less than $400 in damage on June 11 spraypainting graffiti on a home on Arroyo Drive. On June 11 thieves stole property from a car parked on Tierra Rejada Road. An 18-year-old man was arrested for having an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody on June 12 in the 500 block of Spring Road. On June 12 the city reported that public property on Country Hills Road was vandalized. Shoplifters stole merchandise from Kohl's department store on Los Angeles Avenue on June 13. A man who is on parole was arrested June 13 for stealing merchandise from the Kohl's department store on Los Angeles Avenue. He also lied to police during his arrest. Police arrested two men who allegedly intended to sell controlled substances June 13 in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue. On June 13, merchandise was stolen from T.J. Maxx in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue. The loss was less than $400. A man was arrested June 14 for causing an accident on Poindexter Avenue while driving under the influence of alcohol. Two burglars with knives entered an apartment in the 100 block of Moorpark Avenue to steal marijuana. According to police, a resident of the apartment chased the burglars with a gun. They dropped a container of drugs on the ground while fleeing. The incident occurred June 15. On June 15, someone spray painted city property at an undisclosed location. Thieves stole more than $400 from a car parked in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue June 16. Somebody was arrested in connection with a domestic violence incident on Ruth Avenue on June 16. On June 16, someone stole less than $400 worth of goods prior to being evicted from a home on Reedley Street.
