Daphne’s Greek Cafe celebrates grand opening

Daphne’s Greek Café will host a Zesta Eating Contest from 3:30 to 3:45 p.m. Mon., Nov. 17 during the grand opening of Daphne’s Moorpark Marketplace area restaurant at 880 New Los Angeles Ave., Ste. A, Moorpark.

Greek food-loving contestants "will square off with spicy Zesta’s, flash fried pitas filled with chicken and Daphne’s famous and trademarked Fire Feta. Whoever can eat the most tasty treats in three minutes (sweat towels to be provided) will win a catered dinner for 10 from Daphne’s."

Donations will be accepted at the event and half of the proceeds from food sales for the evening will be given to the Moorpark Education Foundation of the Moorpark Unified School District.
