The Moorpark Active Adult Center presents the following activities for seniors in Octo- ber.

Most events require a res- ervation and will meet at 799 Moorpark Ave. unless other- wise noted. Programs are free unless a donation is requested.

A five-day exhibition of gourds designed by local art- ists will be displayed in the Citrus Room of the Moorpark Civic Center from Oct. 8 through 12. The public is in- vited to an artists' reception with light refreshments from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sun., Oct. 8.

The center will sponsor a trip to the newly-renovated Getty Vi l l a in Malibu on Thurs., Oct. 12 to view the more than 1,200 works of art from the museum's collection of Greek, Roman and Etruscan antiquities. The bus will de- part and return from the Albertson's parking lot on Los Angeles Avenue. The cost is $25, which includes transpor- tation and driver tip but not lunch. The Getty offers two dining options, Mediterranean fare and the casual Espresso Cart. Payment for the trip is due at time of reservation.

Allene Bundt, Mary Kay cosmetics senior consultant, will discuss skin care and finding the right colored makeup at 10:30 a.m. Wed., Oct. 18. Participants may try sample products. An optional lunch is available after the demonstration for a suggested donation of $2.25. Marilyn Louck, volunteer

with the Ventura County Grand Jury, will talk about the services and volunteer oppor- tunities of the Grand Jury at 11 a.m. Fri., Oct. 27.
