Enjoy snow, crafts, carols at Hometown Holiday The city of Moorpark will once again bring in the holiday season with winter weather and fun festivities at the annual Moorpark Hometown Holiday Sat., Dec. 2 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Arroyo Vista Community Park. The Winter Wonderland will be created with more than 20 tons of snow. This year's Wonderland will feature a special tot lot just for preschoolers. At Santa's craft workshop, children will have the opportunity to create a variety of holiday craft projects, including greeting cards and festive holiday frames. The food court will offer coffee, hot cocoa, funnel cake and more. The event will also feature a va riety of live entertainment by community groups, including Mesa Verde Choir, Walnut Canyon Strings, Arroyo West Choir, the Boney Mountain Mamas and others. Santa Claus will share some of his favorite stories throughout the event and will also be available for photo opportunities. The Hometown Holiday will culminate with the lighting of the city's community Christmas tree. Admission to the festivities is $5 per child, and parents are free.
