Moorpark vs. Canyon key matchups

              Darrell Scott vs. Cowboys' defense
Scott's rushed for 3,076 yards and scored 45 touchdowns
this season. He's averaging 9.9 yards per carry. Canyon's
Dillon Schelske (8 sacks) and Mike Spangnola (5 sacks)
lead a Cowboys defense that hasn't allowed more than 17
points in a game since mid October.
            John Diluigi vs. Musketeers' defense
Diluigi took his first handoff against Westlake in the
semifinals and scored a 71-yard touchdown. He finished
the game with 214 yards and four scores. Moorpark's
defense was red hot against Hart. The unit created
turnovers, pressured the quarterback and held Hart
running back Delano Howell in check all evening.
                  Adam Barry vs. Ben Longshore
In three playoff games, Barry has completed 19-of-27
passes for 294 yards with four touchdowns and no
interceptions. Barry has become a master at protecting
the football-he has only three interceptions all year.
That trend must continue against Canyon. Longshore has
completed 58 percent of his passes this season. He has
thrown for 12 scores and only one interception in the
                      Cowboys' last seven contests.
Moorpark's owl vs. Canyon's "Whoo!" chant
The owl goes everywhere Moorpark goes, and he always
ends up with a seat on the bench so he can watch his
favorite team play. He's the Musketeers' glue. Every time
Canyon earns a first down, their fans will scream, "First
down, Cowboys! Whoo!" Eventually, you'll probably
want to throw something at them, but don't do it.
