Church presents musical variety family show

Life Spring Community Church will present the seventh annual “A Moorpark Family Christmas,” a familyfriendly music/variety show with local actors and musicians, at the Life Spring Church auditorium, 5384 Kazuko Court, Moorpark.

Performances are 7 p.m. tonight, Fri., Dec. 15, and 5 and 7 p.m. Sat and Sun., Dec. 16 and 17.

The 75minute event features a comic play, a live nativity scene, elves, Christmas carolers, door prizes and the Life Spring Band led by Todd Fugate, a professional singer/ songwriter who used to tour with Shania Twain and others. Holiday snacks will be served after the performance.

“This year we’re going back to Old Bethlehem to see what local citizens think about the Christmas story. It’s very touching, but uplifting at the same time,” said playwright Andy Crittenden.

Three Hollywood veterans are working with the production, and a new mezzanine stage has been built specifically for the event. Tickets can be purchased in
