College presents variety show

Moorpark College Theatre Arts will present its second variety show, "Voices In My Head," at 7:30 p.m. Fri. and Sat., Feb. 9 and 10 in the Studio Theatre, Performing Arts Center on the campus.

All the material in the show is created and performed by Moorpark College student artists, including poetry, songs, dance, monologues and comedy sketches.

Suggested donation is $5, which will be used to cover the expenses for the show and support other Theatre Arts productions.

Student artists include Nick Reid and Danny Ziegler, clowning; Kevin Nam, popping and mime; Brandon Lacroix and Steve McLure, singing; Vanessa Cate, Robert Lawrence and Brittany Legault, poems; Carmen Selame, Andy Shultz, Tina Thompson and Kassem, monologues; David Harris and Andy Shultz, comedy sketches; Melissa Pinza and Carmen Selame, comedy sketch directors.

The content of the show is diverse, from poignant and thoughtprovoking to goofy and funny.

"We want to challenge the audience, surprise them, show them something they haven't seen before," said Katherine Lewis, theater arts professor.
