HALF-COCKED CRITTER- John Shaw of Moorpark sent in this picture along with this explanation. "I was touring up the California coast shooting photographs of birds, but one can always make an exception for a shot like this. This picture was taken up in Cambria. He/she climbed onto the fence and proceeded to have a good wash and then sat there looking at me with a look of, 'Well, don't I look cute? So where's the food?' I especially liked the oneear-up/one-ear-down look. I nicknamed him Loppy for lopsided."
