City offices to relocate today

The city of Moorpark's Community Development Department, city Engineer/Public Works Department Administration, Building and Safety Division and engineering support staff (Abbott & Associates) will relocate to a temporary office building today, Fri., Feb. 2. The new building is at the north end of the Civic Center campus at 799 Moorpark Ave.

The move will result in temporary limited services at City Hall and periodic interruptions in telephone service to the affected offices. Callers to these numbers will be diverted to voice mail. The city's main number, (805) 517-6200, will remain in service.

The main City Hall entrance will be closed to visitors and customers. A sign will direct visitors to the Development and Community Services building where they will receive assistance or be escorted to the appropriate staff location.

The relocation is expected to take up to two weeks. Offices will reopen at the new location at 8 a.m. Mon., Feb. 5.
