Credit union donates to food bank

Members of the Ventura County Credit Union donated $6,326 last year to FOOD Share Inc., a local food bank, topping 2005's total by more than $700.

In addition, more than 300 pounds of nonperishable food were collected in barrels placed in each office.

"Helping feed the hungry in our community has long been one of our most important causes," said Carol Harris, president and CEO. "We're very pleased with how strongly our members have supported our Feast For All holiday food drive."

Ventura County Credit Union is headquartered in Ventura County, with five offices and nearly 46,000 members.
