Activities in Moorpark keep children busy

IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers TEA FOR TWO- Jan Jue of Moorpark and daughter Kianna, 9, a student at Flory Academy in Moorpark, enjoy snacks at the Mother/ Girl Scout Tea on Saturday at the Moorpark Presbyterian Church. The scouts decorated the tables and put on a fashion show featuring the history of Scouting uniforms. IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers KEEPING THE BEAT- Moorpark resident Cole Hoefferle, 6, stays in rhythm in a drum circle for students at Walnut Canyon Elementary School's Art Night on Monday. Other activities included painting and pottery demonstrations, and a performance by the Camarillo Chinese Lion Dancers troupe. The event raised funds for the school to buy art supplies for students.
