Elvis sings as school's good luck charm

Raymond Michael will present his Tributes to Elvis and Tom Jones, backed by a band with a horn section, at 7 p.m. Sat., Feb. 10 in the performing arts center of Moorpark High School.

A silent auction will precede the concert from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

This benefit is sponsored by the school Band Boosters and Voices to raise funds for scholarships to graduating seniors, equipment and uniforms.

While not performing as Elvis, Michael runs the choral and musical theater program at the high school and is also the Student Government adviser. He has received the Crystal Apple Award for excellence in teaching from NBC-4 TV.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling Toni Moran at (805) 8056305, ext. 3112.
