Learn about universities, tech schools, SAT

Moorpark High School will be hosting the eighth annual College Fair and Workshops from 7 to 9 p.m. Wed., March 28 in the school's new gym, 4500 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark. There is no charge to attend.

The event is open to all eighth through 12thgrade students and their parents from any school district. Participants may receive information from more than 70 colleges, universities and technical schools from across the U.S., as well as companies that provide SAT and ACT testing and study information.

Eighthgrade students and parents are invited to a presentation, "College- Making it Happen," at 6 p.m. in the Moorpark High School Educational Center.

Workshops will start at 7:30 and 8 p.m. Topics include the UC colleges, Cal State universities, financial aid, the ACT and the new SAT tests, transferring from a two-year college, Moorpark College program information, and campus visits and interviews.
