Children can learn safety skills

Children in grades 3, 4 and 5 can learn basic safety skills during Safe Kids Day from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sat., April 21 at Moorpark High School.

The event is provided by the American Red Cross of Ventura County and hosted by Moorpark High School and its Health and Science Academy.

Training will be provided in basic first aid, rescue breathingand water, fire, sports and transportation safety. The youths wilbe taught in interactive groupand receive supporting materialsSnacks will be provided.

Red Cross Youth Services Clubs, comprised of high school volunteers, will provide the training.
