A walkway and trees between Quail Summit Road and Peach Hill Elementary School were vandalized between March 30 and April 2. Graffiti was scrawled with marking pens and paint. A car in the 6400 block of Pepperdine Circle was vandalized with graffiti between March 30 and 31. Someone marked a car with graffiti on March 29 in the 4500 block of Tierra Rejada Road. Damage was estimated at $1,000. An unlocked car in the 14200 block of Alderglen was burglarized on March 24. A thief stole merchandise from the Ralphs grocery store in the 100 block of Los Angeles Avenue on March 27. On April 4 a man was arrested in front of the Tipsy Fox convenience store, at the intersection of High and Spring streets, for being drunk in public. On March 31 a man was stopped for running a red light at an unspecified intersection. Upon investigation, the driver was found to be under the influence of drugs and was arrested. During a routine patrol, a deputy found a young man in the 400 block of Los Angeles Avenue to be under the influence of a CNS stimulant and placed him under arrest. A woman was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance during a probation search on March 29. Four suspects were booked for trespassing on city property in the 100 block of High Street on April 15. Someone stole personal property from a car parked in the 15000 block of Marquette Street between April 14 and 15. A car was burglarized in the 12400 block of Alderglen Street between April 13 and 14. On April 13 someone attempted to steal a car parked at the Metrolink train station in the 300 block of High Street. A suspect was arrested on April 1 for stealing $180 from the cash register at T.J. Maxx, his former place of employment. All four tires of a car parked at the intersection of Marquette and Varsity Park were slashed on April 10. More than $400 worth of personal property was reported stolen from Isaac Construction Company on April 10. There were no known suspects. On April 10 unknown suspects launched a rock through a plate glass window at Mavericks gym in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Graffiti was scribbled on the United Methodist Church in the 200 block of Flory Avenue between April 5 and 10. A prowler was reported entering a property in the 13100 block of Westport Street on April 9. A home in the 4400 block of Forest Glen Court was burglarized between March 30 and April 9. On April 6 a home in the 13900 block of Orion Flight Way was burglarized. The victim's front door, valued at $5,000, was stolen. A known suspect stole $300 in cash from a home in the 4100 block of Brookcrest Court on April 2. Known suspects trespassed on Metrolink railroad property on April 8. The incident took place near the arroyo, just southeast of Chuy's restaurant. Vandals left graffiti on the 15700 block of Arroyo Drive, with estimated damage exceeding $850. Gang activity is suspected. Thieves stole personal property from the back of a truck between April 6 and 7. Prowlers entered a man's garage in the 50 block of Second Street on April 6. A private fence in the 13400 block of Quail Summit Drive was defaced with graffiti on April 5. A known suspect at Moorpark High School beat a peace officer on April 5 during the investigation of a disturbance created by the suspect on school grounds. A young man was arrested on April 15 for battery against his girlfriend and his mother in the 100 block of Millard Street. Four suspects were arrested in the 100 block of High Street on April 15 for trespassing on city property. On April 14 a man was arrested n the 300 block of Esther Avenue for forcefully taking his wife's personal property, injuring her, threatening to kill her and forcefully keeping her in the house against her will. A woman was arrested on April 14 on Spring Road after leaving a crime scene in the 100 block of Everett Street, where she had allegedly battered her boyfriend. She was also found to be under the influence of drugs at the time of her arrest. A man was arrested on the 300 block of Roberts Avenue on April 14 for possession of more than two ounces of marijuana and possession of Oxycontin without a prescription. A person was arrested on April 13 in the 400 block of High Street for being drunk in public. During a routine probation search on April 13 in the 200 block of Sierra Avenue, a man was found to be under the influence of illegal drugs. On April 13 at the intersection of Spring and Princeton roads, a man was found to be under the nfluence of a controlled substance. On April 12, during a traffic stop at the intersection of Los Angeles Avenue and Millard Street, a young woman was found to be under the nfluence of illegal drugs. A young male driver and his passenger were pulled over on April 14 for creating a disturbance along Miller Parkway. Upon nvestigation, it was found that the two had more than an ounce of marijuana and a bong pipe. On April 11 a woman was arrested for public intoxication while wandering about at the Metrolink train station in the 300 block of High Street. On April 11 a man was reported to be drunk in public, lying on the ground at the Metrolink station. The man was arrested, and an ambulance was used to transport him to Ventura County Jail. A young man was arrested on April 10 for fighting in a public place. No location was given on the report. During a consensual parole search done on April 7 on the 500 block of Spring Street, a man was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
As officers responded to a call about suspicious activity in the 300 block of Roberts Avenue on April 7, a man ran into the backyard and tried to hide in a shed. The man was found to be under the influence of an illegal drug. At the same place and time, a male roommate was discovered attempting to dispose of 5.3 grams of methamphetamine and 100 bags. During further search a scale was discovered, covered in powder residue. Both men were arrested for possession of meth for sale. |
