Wood Ranch to celebrate 15 years of food, service

All Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill locations will celebrate the company's 15th anniversary on Mon., April 30.

Ofer Shemtov and Eric Anders opened the first Wood Ranch in Moorpark 15 years ago, and the restaurant still operates in the original building.

On the anniversary day, the restaurant will offer prizes and balloons, and contribute a portion of the proceeds to local charities.

Lunch and dinner guests will receive an envelope with either a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert, a gift certificate worth up to $100 or a coupon for a Wood Ranch gift basket.

The first 50 guests who order coffee that day will receive a coffee mug with the anniversary logo.

Each restaurant will receive an American flag that has been flown over the U.S. Capitol.

The Moorpark restaurant will also provide a balloon artist to visit every table, cupcakes for all guests and the Wood Ranch wheel of prizes. Guests may spin the wheel and win items such as a Wood Ranch T-shirt or a bottle of Wood Ranch's award-winning barbecue sauce.

Wood Ranch has been rated as "Top Barbecue Spot" and also earned a certificate of distinction for outstanding scores in both food and service in the "Zagat Restaurant Guide Los Angeles/Southern California" for six out of the last eight years.
