YMCA to host Day of Prayer breakfast The Southeast Ventura County YMCA will host its seventh annual prayer breakfast on the National Day of Prayer from 6:50 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Thurs., May 3 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village. Prayer, scripture readings and song will be part of the celebration. The cost is $15 and a continental breakfast will be served. Andy Fox, mayor of Thousand Oaks, will serve as the master of ceremonies. Greg Totten, Ventura County district attorney, will deliver the keynote address. Guest presenters include the Rev. Alex Menez, St Paschal Baylon Catholic Church; Councilmember Jim Bruno of Westlake; Bishop Neils Ludlow of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Jen Horan of La Reina High School; the Rev. Brad Resare of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church; Cantor Kenny Ellis of Temple Beth Haverim; Sister Lisa Megaffin of Many Mansions; and Chaplain Mike McDonald. The Southeast Ventura County YMCA has been serving the greater Conejo Valley and Westlake/Agoura since 1964 with locations in Agoura Hills, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks.
