Dangers of

skin cancer

discussed

The Comprehensive Cancer Center at Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center will feature its annual free skin cancer seminar and screening at 6 p.m. Wed., May 23 in the classrooms at 215 W. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The seminar, "The Dangers of Skin Cancer," will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the skin screening at 6:45 p.m..

Dermatologist Dr. Andrew Kaufman will discuss the latest in skin cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The skin screenings will be conducted by board-certified dermatologists on staff at the hospital.

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura is offering a free financial management seminar for people living with cancer from 7 to 9 p.m. Thurs., May 17 at the Wellness Community Valley/ Ventura, 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village.

Experts will address financial concerns stemming from a loss oincome or health insurance coverage, and when one is physically too ill to work. Cancer patients and family members are encouraged to attend.

The seminar will be presented by a team of experts in law, finance and social services who will provide strategies and resources to help cancer patients and their families cope with a variety of financial problems. Speakers will include an associate from the Cancer Legal Resource Center at Loyola University and Jim Warren, a financiaand business consultant and Wellness Community participantRSVP at (805) 379-4777.
