Student wins at science fair

Moorpark High student Adil Mohd Salleh won first place in the senior division engineering category at the 53rd annual Ventura County Science Fair held last month at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.

Salleh qualifies to compete in the California State Science Fair in Los Angeles on May 21 and 22.

More than 800 students countywide entered projects in this year's county fair, with the theme "Exploring the Unknown."
