Fatal crash kills Moorpark woman

Moorpark resident Beverly Ann Noel-Ewing, 47, died in a head on collision on Highway 126 Wednesday morning.

She leaves behind a husband and a son who is serving in the military, said Craig Stevens, Ventura County Medical Examiner, indicating he could not release the name of family members.

Three other people were also seriously injured in the accident.

According to authorities, Noel-Ewing's sport utility vehicle crashed head-on with a truck in Piru. She was heading west on an undivided section of the highway just before 9 a.m. when her vehicle allegedly drifted into an eastbound lane and collided with a pickup truck, said Brandon Mumme, spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol in Moorpark.

Noel-Ewing died at the scene. The cause of death was not determined at press time because the coroner was still conducing the autopsy.

Jose Saucedo, 27, of Anaheim , and Marcelino Moreno, 19, of Santa Ana were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia . Santa Ana resident Ismael Carrera, 16, was airlifted to Simi Valley Hospital .

All lanes of the highway were closed to traffic due to the accident.
