Have a Sundae in the Park at Strathearn The Simi Valley Historical Society will host an old-fashioned family "Sundae in the Park" 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun., June 3 at Strathearn Historical Park and Museum, 137 Strathearn Place, Simi Valley. Guests can take self-paced tours because docents are stationary in all the museum buildings, including the fully-restored Old St. Rose of Lima Church and gardens. Other historic structures can be seen as they await renovation, such as the first barber shop in Simi Valley's history. Other activities include lawn games, horseshoes, club exhibits, snacks and ice cream sundaes. Local HAM radio club, "Simi Settlers," will present a live broadcast. Numerous operating vintage vehicles, as well as antique gas engines from the museum inventory and "Rusty Relics," will be displayed. Admission is $5, with food and gift items for sale at an additional charge. All proceeds go to the Simi Va l ley Historical Soci ety for edu cation and preservation pro grams.
