Man suspected of committing crimes against children

A man who allegedly committed lewd acts against children in Fillmore and Moorpark between 1996 and 2004 was arrested in Colorado and brought to the Ventura County Jail on May 20.

Antonio De Alejandro, 46, was charged with 20 felony counts of crimes against children. He was an elder in two Ventura County churches and moved to Colorado in 2006.

De Alejandro was booked in the county pretrial detention facility and bail was set at $600,000.
