College arts fest to showcase a summer of music, drama, dance This summer Moorpark College will present the Summer Arts Festival, the annual performance series showcasing the dance, music and theater departments. The festival offers a special admission opportunity for high school students who wish to supplement their education or simply partake in courses for personal enrichment. With courses in dance, musical theater, music, theater arts and technical production, the program offers training for students at all levels and opportunities in performance, production and choreography. Classes will meet Mondays through Thursdays. The 2007 Summer Arts Festival productions include: +"Moon over Broadway" on June 15, 16 and 17, an annual musical revue directed and choreographed by Dennon and Sayhber Rawles, with vocal direction by Marilyn Anderson and musical direction by Dave Watkins. +Orchestra "Pops" Concert on July 20, directed by James Song. +"Scapino," a comedy directed by John Loprieno. Performances run July 19 to 21, 26 to 28 and Aug. 2 through 4. +Dancing Under the Stars Aug. 9 through 11, directed by Robert Salas and Nancy Paradis. +Stars and Stripes Social Dance, directed by Sandi Patterson.
