Area thespians to open new play

Conejo Players Theatre will present the dramatic comedy "4318 Clarendon Road," a new play by George Tricker, June 22 through July 21 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. matinees Sun., June 24 and July 15.

Tickets are $14 Thursdays, $16 Fridays and Sundays, and $18 Saturdays and opening night.

The play is the story of a middle-aged man's return to this Irish-Italian family home and his connection with the ghosts of his colorful family's past. In a household where life was as delicate and civil as a rugby scrum, this comedy reflects the bittersweet moments of growing up in an Italian-American family in Brooklyn during the 1950s.
