GOP women award scholarships

Tracy Akashi, 2007 honor graduate of Moorpark High School, was awarded a $500 scholarship by the Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated in memory of Charlotte Mousel, past president of the California Federation Republican Women.

The scholarship was awarded to Akashi for her academic achievement and community involvement. She will major in business administration at Santa Clara University.

Natalie Panossian, president of the Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated, has been selected by California Federation of Republican Women as the California nominee for the National Pathfinder Scholarship. The scholarship was established in 1985 in honor of First Lady Nancy Reagan.

Panossian is an honor graduate of Ventura County public schools and is an attorney pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at Pepperdine University School of Business and Management. She is active with various community organizations including the Ventura County Republican Party.
