Area Housing Authority needs local applicants

Applications are needed from Moorpark residents interested in serving as commissioner to the Area Housing Authority of the county of Ventura.

The board of commissioners is responsible for the authority's policies, finances and operations. The appointment will be for a four-yeaterm.

The authority's purpose is to provide decent and affordable housing accommodations for very-lowincome families, elderly, handicapped and disabled individuals.

Applications are available from City Hall, 799 Moorpark Ave. and www.ci.moorpark.ca.us.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. Mon., July 23. Applications may only be submitted to the City Clerk at City Hall.
