Postal services available at new location

The U.S. Postal Service will open a new Contract Postal Unit inside Casino Storage, 875 W. Los Angeles Ave. in Moorpark on Wed., July 18.

The new mailing and shipping location will offer service every day except for major holidays. Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

A contract postal unit offers stamps and U.S. Postal Service products and services at the same price as a regular post office. Patrons can send express mail and priority mail packages, purchase insurance and delivery confirmation, mail certified letters with return receipts, buy stamps and drop off mail.

The Moorpark Post Office at 215 W. Los Angeles Ave. has retail lobby hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Passport applications are accepted at the Moorpark Post Office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday

Patrons may also use the U.S. Postal Service website at www.usps.com to look up ZIP codes, buy stamps, print package labels, download postage and arrange vacation holds.
