Learn about God's heroes at Vacation Bible School

Moorpark United Methodist Church will host a family Vacation Bible School on Wed. Aug. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at the church, 261 Flory Ave.

The theme is "Hero Quest" and will cover heroes of the Bible.

The public is invited and there is no charge except a dinner donation. Participants may attend one or more sessions.

Dinner will be served each night at 6 p.m. in Mahan Hall, followed by a skit. Dinner donations are $5 for adults, $3 for children. Classes will end at 8:30 p.m.

The program is children from preschool through grade 5. Activities include a storyteller, crafts, music and reflection time.

The Rev. Stephen Meadors, church pastor, will lead an adult class that will cover the same heroes studied by the children.
