Sometime between Aug. 17 and 18 a thief stole the tailgate from a pick-up truck parked in the 15300 block of Mahan Court.

Vandals spray-painted graffiti on a business in the 100 block of High Street sometime between Aug. 14 and 15.

A shoplifter took property from Chick's Sporting Goods in the 700 block of Los Angeles Avenue on Aug. 14.

Property in the 100 block of Park Lane was vandalized with spray paint sometime between Aug. 10 and 11.

Vandals defaced property in the 100 block of Leta Yancy Road with spraypainted graffiti sometime between Aug. 7 and 13.

Burglars entered a private garage in the 4200 block of Kingsview Road on July 19 and stole two bicycles and two skateboards.

A business sign in the 8200 block of Happy Camp Road was defaced with spray-painted graffiti sometime between Aug. 13 and 14.

The Vons store in the 4200 block of Tierra Rejada Road was the scene of a shoplifting incident on Aug. 13.

On Aug. 10 both the city of Moorpark and the U. S. Post Office reported that two known suspects vandalized a community mailbox by writing a gang symbol on its sides. Both suspects, who were also allegedly soliciting area sales of the Ventura County Star without a permit, were arrested.

A young adult was arrested on Aug. 18 in the 14300 block of White Sage Road for indecent exposure.

On Aug. 17 a man was arrested in the area of First Street east of Moorpark Avenue in the alley exit for gang-related activity, including vandalism, burglary and warrants.

Another man was arrested on the 100 block of First Street on Aug. 17 for vandalizing a home with graffiti. The man, a documented MPLS gang member, wrote threatening messages to the resident, placing the victim in fear for his personal safety.

On Aug. 17 deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of First Street, where vandalism was in progress in a nearby alleyway. A man was stopped leaving the alleyway. During investigation, it was discovered that the man had attempted to burglarize a home in the immediate area and vandalized the property with spray paint. The crimes appeared to have been committed in concert with a criminal street gang, and the man was taken into custody.

During a routine stop for a traffic violation on Aug. 16 in the Rolling Knoll-Peach Hill area of Moorpark, the driver was identified as under the influence of illegal drugs and was arrested.

On Aug. 16 a woman sleeping in a car parked in the 4700 block of Park Lane was found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe and was showing symptoms of being under the influence of illegal drugs. She was taken into custody.

A suspect pulled over on Aug. 15 during a traffic stop on Los Angeles Avenue at Millard Street was found to have a set of brass knuckles and two loaded firearms in his possession. He was arrested.

On Aug. 13 a man was arrested at an undisclosed location for urinating in public.

A man was taken into custody on Aug. 11 in the 50 block of Los Angeles Avenue after it was determined he was under the influence of both alcohol and an illegal drug. The man also was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

On Aug. 10 a man drinking a malt liquor in Poindexter Park was arrested for consuming the beverage in a public park. It is illegal to consume any beverage with more than .05 percent alcohol in any public venue.

A man was cited and released on Aug. 4 in the 400 block of Sherman Avenue after being found to be under the influence of an illegal drug.

During a probation search on Aug. 4 in the 300 block of Roberts Avenue, a suspect was found to be under the influence of an illegal stimulant. He was cited and released.
