FOOD Share, Ventura County's only regional food bank, has announced "Faith for FOOD Share" Weekend to take place Fri., Sept. 7 to Sun., Sept. 9.

The Moorpark Acorn will be running a three-part series on this program, which will ultimately benefit a large number of people throughout Ventura County.

The purpose of campaign is to raise funds for food, equipment and food bank operations, and to raise awareness about hunger services that are available.

To become a "Faith for FOOD Share" participant or contributor, call Jeanne Benitez, manager of annual giving, at (805) 983-7100, ext. 122, or go online to www.foodshare.com.
