Host homes needed in city for international exchange students International exchange high school students are coming to study in Moorpark during the 200708 school year. These students will integrate themselves into a Moorpark family with the goal of experiencing American culture as an American high school student would. In turn, they will provide insight into their own culture. STS Foundation, a nonprofit student exchange organization, has helped facilitate the placement of exchange students for 20 years. Students this year include Jesper, a 17-year-old Swedish boy from Stockholm who enjoys playing many sports, including soccer, football, baseball and hockey. He loves traveling and geography and wants to learn more about American culture. Ninon is an active 16-year-old girl from France who enjoys playing badminton, cycling and practicing aikido. She also loves animals and nature, and she wants to discover the people and traditions of America. They are both excellent students and will have their own spending money and health insurance. The host family provides a separate bed, family meals and a safe environment. For more information on hosting a student, call Sean at (800) 522-4678, e-mail seant @stsfoundation.org or visit www.stsfoundation.org. |
