City tees off for golf tourney
Benefit supports Boys & Girls Club

The Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark will host its 21st annual Golf Tournament on Mon., Sept. 24 at the Moorpark Country Club.

The tourney raises funds that enable the club to provide programs that educate children and channel youthful energy into constructive pursuits.

Business owners and individuals are invited to become event sponsors or by contributing raffle prizes, silent auction items or gift certificates.

Sponsorships range from $10,000 title sponsor to $1,750 birdie sponsors.

Individual golfers or foursomes can submit reservations at $185 per golfer. The fee includes mulligan packages, tee packages, hole-in-one prizes, putting and chipping contests, raffle prizes, awards banquet, silent and live auctions and more.

The 2006 tournament raised more than $75,000 for club programs.
