Agrees with letter writer on housing

Kudos to Chad Goodwin (Aug. 31) for saying what so many of us that live in Moorpark feel. Because of the overemphasis these days of being "politically correct," a lot of people are apprehensive about say things like this out loud.

My family moved here a little over a year ago for the same reasons as Chad's family and I'm sure many other families also have migrated with similar stories. I tell everyone who asks me how I feel about my relocation, "I love Moorpark!" I t truly is my sanctuary here. When I've had a bad day, I find myself smiling as soon as I get off the freeway and drive up Tierra Rejada.

While I do believe there is room for "entry level" housing in every community, I feel that Chad is not overreacting by expressing these concerns about "affordable housing," and yes, I do believe there is a difference between the two. Hopefully our community leaders can see the difference as well but just like Chad, we as citizens of this great community should speak our minds to help keep this great town of Moorpark just that, great.
