Kyle B. Nelson has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Srpings, in preparation to start the first academic year.

Before entering their freshman year, cadets must complete a sixweek oreintatioon program.

Nelson is the son of Katherine and Timothy Nelson of Moorpark and a 2007 graduate of Moorpark High School.
