Girl Scouts host sock hop
Event will include games, music, contests

To kick off the start of the new Scouting year, Girl Scout Troop 432 and the local Service Unit are hosting a '50s style Sock Hop on Sun., Sept. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club, 200 Casey Road, Moorpark.

All registered Moorpark Girl Scouts and a significant adult (father, mother, uncle, brother, grandfather or other) are invited to attend, as well as girls ages 5 to 17 who are interested in Scouting.

The event will include games, photo booth, DJ, and bubble gum and hula hoop contests.

The cost is $10 for registered Girl Scouts 12 years and younger with an adult; $6 for registered Girl Scouts 12 years and older with an adult; and $20 for nonregistered girls and adult.

Registration for the Girl Scout year is $10.
