Sheriff's Blotter On Sept. 18 known suspects entered a home through an unlocked window with intent to burglarize a residence in the 500 block of Spring Street. The Shell Gas Station in the 300 block of West Los Angeles Avenue was burglarized on Sept. 21. A bicycle was stolen between Sept. 19 and 20 from the front porch of a home in the 50 block of Majestic Court. A 57yearold woman stole a bicycle on Sept. 19 parked in front of the Vons supermarket in the 4200 block of Tierra Rejada Road. The woman was in possession of the bicycle when she was arrested. Between Sept. 18 and 19, someone broke a car window parked in the 200 block of Science Drive. Thieves removed property from construction sites in the 13200 block of Shadow Wood Place sometime between Sept. 1 and 4. On Sept. 17 someone stole picture decals from the front window of the Petco in the 700 block of Los Angeles Avenue. A burglar entered two different unlocked cars in the 100 block of Moonsong Court sometime between Sept. 16 and 17 and stole personal property. On Sept. 17 an unlocked car parked in the 500 block of Moorpark Avenue was burglarized. Thieves attempted to steal a car sometime between Aug. 17 and 27. The car was parked in the 5100 block of Goldman Avenue. A burglar entered a residence in the 500 block of Spring Road on Sept. 21 and stole property. On Sept. 21 during a burglary investigation in the 200 block of Sierra Avenue, a woman in the house showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was arrested after a glass smoking pipe was found in her purse. During the same investigation, a man was taken into custody for possession of stolen property and being under the influence of illegal drugs. In responding to a call regarding intoxicated males disturbing business at the Chevron gas station in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue on Sept. 21, an officer found a man in possession of a glass smoking pipe. The man admitted to using the pipe to smoke crack cocaine. He was cited and released. During a response to a traffic collision on Sept. 20 at Tierra Rejada Road and Mountain Trail Street, the driver of one car showed signs of being under the influence of an illegal stimulant. He was arrested. On Sept. 20 in an undisclosed area in Moorpark, an officer spotted a pedestrian displaying signs of being under the influence of an illegal drug. He was arrested. A man riding a bicycle down the wrong side of High Street was stopped and consensually searched on Sept. 20. He had a glass smoking pipe, and was found under the influence of an illegal drug. He was cited and released. On Sept. 20 an officer learned that a man had given a gang-related tattoo to a juvenile without parental permission. The man was arrested for tattooing a minor and committing a crime in furtherance of a street gang. While driving his truck on Sept. 19 in the 100 block of Third Street, a man caused a noninjury traffic collision. The man inspected the damage he caused to a parked car, then left the scene without contacting the car's owner. During a visit on Sept. 18 to a residence in the 15700 block of Los Angeles Avenue to serve a warrant, the man being served showed signs of being under the influence of an illegal drug. A search revealed a glass smoking pipe. On Sept. 18 while serving a warrant to a woman living in the 6900 block of Lafayette Street, officers found the woman under the influence of an illegal drug and she was arrested. A young man was pulled over on Sept. 13 in an undisclosed part of Moorpark and arrested for possession of marijuana while driving a motor vehicle. |
