      The motive in a shooting rampage that left two people dead and two injured on Tuesday morning is still unclear, Simi Valley police said Thursday. Susan Sutcliffe, 53, was fatally shot in the head while waiting for service at Tire Pros on 4386 E. Los Angeles Ave.

      When Robert Raser's classified ad to sell bedroom furniture for $125 appeared online, he got much more than he asked for. Raser received a $3,900 cashier's check from a buyer who wanted the excess funds wired back to him via Western Union.

Mikos proposes eminent domain measure
      Councilmember Roseann Mikos proposed that the council place a measure on a future ballot for Moorpark voters to decide whether the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency's should prohibit the use of eminent domain to acquire any properties in the agency's project area as long as the agency exists.

Grants awarded to senior programs
