Mikos proposes eminent domain measure

Councilmember Roseann Mikos proposed that the council place a measure on a future ballot for Moorpark voters to decide whether the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency's should prohibit the use of eminent domain to acquire any properties in the agency's project area as long as the agency exists. This would only affect properties that were zoned residential as of January 2007. It would resolve concerns for residential properties if eminent domain is reconsidered by a future City Council, she said.
