Helpers sought for rescue program The Hogan Family Foundation, which has operated the Lifeline 4 Paws program for small breed dog rescues for several years, has begun its Big Paws 4 A Cause dog rescue program for larger dogs in Ventura County and is seeking volunteers. Glenn Hogan, the program director who also helps run the family's horse rescue program, says Big Paws 4 A Cause will care for, rehabilitate and find new homes for the larger dogs in need. Hogan is looking for volunteers to help with the socialization, exercising, grooming and training of these dogs. "We really need loving people of at least 16 years of age to give us a hand," he said. "Current or previous large dog experience is a plus, but not required." For more information or to volunteer, call (805) 480-3038 or visit www.bigpaws4acause.org. |
