Students visit art studio

Walnut Canyon Elementary School is partnering with the High Street Studio to bring art education and appreciation to the students.

Nema Pierce, the visual and performing arts teacher, recently taught a lesson on color and style to kindergartners at the studio, giving the students the opportunity to see the work of professional artists.

Collaboration between the school and Bill and Jean Amador, the owners of the gallery, exposes the students to local artists.

Walnut Canyon, an arts and technology school and a California Distinguished School, is at 280 Casey Road in Moorpark.
