Sheriff's Blotter Sometime between Nov. 16 and 18, a business sign in the 13900 block of Princeton Street was spray-painted with graffiti. Graffiti was spray-painted on a wall on Nov. 17 in the 6400 block of Harvard Street. On Nov. 16 a wall, property of the city of Moorpark, was spraypainted with graffiti in the 4500 block of Tierra Rejada Road. A car was stolen on Nov. 15 from someone in the 13100 block of Silver C reek Road. On Nov. 16, two men were taken into custody under suspicion of allegedly attempting to break into cars on Weeping Willow Street and on Christian Barrett Drive. Unlocked cars in the 13800 block of Meeham Way were burglarized sometime between Nov. 15 and 16. A car window was broken sometime between Nov. 14 and 15 and a briefcase containing a digital camera and a weight scale were taken. The crime took place in the 7100 block of Pecan Street. Sometime between Nov. 7 and 14, thieves took four Dell computers from the computer lab at Community High School in the 5700 block of Condor Drive. A home robbery took place on Nov. 13 in the 6500 block of Harvard Street. Burglars broke in through the bedroom window and stole jewelry from a dresser. In the 14400 block of Baylor Circle on Nov. 12, two separate incidents of vandalism to a car caused over $400 in damages. A known shoplifter stole property from the Target store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue on Nov. 12. On Nov. 11, windows at Mountain Meadow School in the 4200 block of Mountain Meadow Drive were spray-painted with graffiti. Moorpark High School on Tierra Rejada Road was marked with graffiti on Nov. 9. A home in the 15500 block of Kernvale Avenue was burglarized on Nov. 8. The Vons supermarket in the 4200 block of Tierra Rejada Road was the site of repeated shoplifting between Oct. 23 and Nov. 3. On Nov. 12 a young man under the drinking age was arrested in an undisclosed city park for being drunk in public. On Nov. 15 a man was arrested in the 600 block of Fitch Street for intimidating a witness by force or threats and trespassing on railroad property. During a routine traffic stop on Tierra Rejada Road just past Walnut Creek on Nov. 13, the driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana. During a call on a reported domestic disturbance on Nov. 12 in the 14800 block of Baylor Circle, two people at the scene were found under the influence of illegal drugs and were arrested. A glass smoking pipe was also found.
A man shoplifted items on Nov. 12 from a business in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue. He was arrested when he returned to his car. At that time, officers discovered that the shoplifter was driving with a suspended license. The theft was recorded on the store's surveillance system. |
