Residents invited to second skate park design workshop The city of Moorpark will hold a second Skate Park Design Workshop at 10:30 a.m. Sat., Dec. 15 at the Moorpark Community Center, 799 Moorpark Ave. The city is seeking input from any interested skaters, particularly local youths. Residents may come even if they did not attend the first skate park design meeting. The city has retained the services of Community Works Design Group to design the skate park. Participants in the first workshop had the opportunity to work with architects from the company and the city staff to suggest ideas for a skate park to be constructed at Poindexter Park. At the December meeting, architects will present several threedimensional renderings of a possible new skate park based on input received at the first meeting. The in-ground skate park will be approximately 14,000 square feet and will include bowls, ramps, half-pipes, rails, spine, jumps, and more. Persons interested in attending the workshop should RSVP to Arroyo Vista Recreation Center at (805) 5176300 or stop by the center at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road between 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. |
