Seniors will ring in New Year early

The Moorpark Active Adult Center will host its annual New Year's Party on Fri., Dec. 28 at 799 Moorpark Ave.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. and guests can dance to the music of The Starlighters. Dinner will be served at 5:30, followed by dessert and more dancing.

After a countdown to "midnight" at 8 p.m., the big door prize will be awarded.

Foods by Julie will cater the dinner. The menu will feature turkey breast with homemade gravy, puree of sweet potatoes, corn bread stuffing with shitake mushrooms, green peas with pearl onions, salad of baby greens, champagne and chocolate opera cake.

The cost is $15 and payment is due at the time of reservation; no refunds.
