Local actors to perform Dickens' Christmas tale on radio

Actor Lane Davies is the celebrity guest host for the Every Now and Then Theatre's 18thyear radio drama presentation of Charles Dickens' "Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story."
Goldcoast Broadcasting's AM 1520 KVTA will broadcast the locally produced ghost story and stream it over their website at kvta.com, commercial free, at noon, 5 and 10 p.m. Mon., Dec. 24 and at 7 a.m. Tues., Dec. 25.
Camarillo resident Keith Hurt, who was born in Britain, will portray Ebenezer Scrooge.
Lane Davies has appeared on many TV shows including "Lois and Clark," "3rd Rock from the Sun," "The Practice," "Scrubs" and soaps including "Santa Barbara" and "General Hospital."
As artistic director for the Santa Susana Repertory Company, Davies has produced and/or directed more than 30 productions.
CAs celebrity radio host, Davies will introduce a countywide cast showcasing local actors, community notables, students and teachers.
The Dickens tale is adapted for broadcast and co-directed by Linda Stiegler of Thousand Oaks and theater troupe founder James Wortman of Ventura. Sound engineering is by David Tuomi of Thousand Oaks.
The cast includes Arryck Adams, Bob Allen, Steve Carlson, Kuba Chyla, Bob Decker, Jim Diderrich, Judy Diderrich, Barbara Dipoma, Gordon Durich, Keith Hurt, Ken Johnson, Shawn Lanz, Vivien Latham, Ray Mastrovito, Ruth Morgan, Sophia Morgan, Alec Nave, Vanessa Orr, Debbie Price, Penny Puente, Mark Andrew Reyes, Ron Rowe, Zach Schultz, Linda M. Stiegler, Alex Viecco, Nicolas Viecco and James Wortman.
Live sound effects are performed by Jake Price and other various cast members.
