Officials unfurl a new city flag

At a recent City Council meeting, the city of Moorpark adopted its first city flag which will be flown at designated city facilities and used at various events such as parades.

The flag features the city seal in a field of medium blue with "Moorpark California" along the bottom portion. The design was selected from among several renditions.

"Moorpark is really excited about having a city flag," said Huge Riley, assistant city manager. "It will foster a closer community, and a close community is one of the great things around living and working in Moorpark. Our residents will have something to rally around."
