Bah humbug to the city grinches

Unfortunately the bah humbug spirit is alive in Moorpark and threatening fines to generous families. A recent article from the Star (Dec. 8) indicated that someone had complained to the city about the holiday decorations painstakingly put up by neighbors on Willow Hill Drive and Chestnut Ridge Street in Moorpark.

I hope the city of Moorpark refrains from issuing fines and at the same time, I encourage other families to drive over quickly to see these festive hanging displays before they are removed.

Thank you, Greve, Schrock and Sturgill families, for trying to bring joy and smiles to our community. Your wreath displays have certainly made me smile. Know that many of us appreciate your holiday spirit and goodwill. Denise Piehn Moorpark
