Spring semester registration is open for community colleges

Registration has started at the three colleges of the Ventura County Community College District. Spring semester begins Mon., Jan. 7.

All students may register online. High school special admission students can register in person at the Admissions and Records offices. Walkin registration begins Wed., Jan. 2, and students in grade nine or below can register beginning Jan. 7.

Students may register for full semester spring courses in person through Jan. 18 and online through Jan. 20. Additional late start and shortterm courses are available that begin in January, February and March.

In addition to the full-semester day and evening courses, the colleges offer weekend courses, short-term courses, one-day seminars and online courses.

The three colleges offer more than 3,000 courses in 100 majors and programs, and provide general education, transfer preparation, career programs, skills enhancement and lifelong learning courses.

For a list of courses for each college, visit these websites: www.oxnardcollege.edu, www.venturacollege.edu, www.moorparkcollege.edu and www.vcccd.edu.

California resident fees are $20 per unit. Students who have not yet graduated from high school can enroll at any Ventura County community college concurrently and will not be required to pay enrollment fees.

The Ventura County Community College District is a partner in the 109campus California Community College system.

The district's three colleges, Moorpark, Oxnard and Ventura, offer programs in general education for transfer to fouryear universities, occupational and vocational fields, developmental programs, community service and continuing education, and provide opportunities to engage in cocurricular campus activities.
