American Legion and teens bring cheer to veterans

THE GIFT OF GIVING- Students from the Moorpark High School Health and Science Academy accompany members of the Moorpark American Legion Auxiliary to deliver more than 400 lap robes, as well as candy, socks, underwear, and patrotic Christmas ornaments, to the patients at Veterans Hospital on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. The students enjoyed giving out the gifts and talking to the veterans. The group undertook the project as a way to thank the vets for their service.
