Metrolink offers EZ pass

All Metrolink train tickets and passes include the Los Angeles County EZ Transit Pass feature and are valid as a local boarding on participating transit systems in Los Angeles County, including DASH, Commuter Express and Metro buses and trains.

The EZ Transit Pass is an interagency fare media and allows a Metrolink ticket to be used for connecting local transit trips without additional payment.

Some systems, such as L.A. DOT Commuter Express, require a zone sticker to be purchased or a cash payment in addition to the Metrolink fare media for longer distance express trips.

EZ Transit Passes are not valid on Metrolink due to the fare difference and that Metrolink serves five counties outside L.A. County.
