Written work read aloud

Poets and Writers present "The Read," a literary/performance event, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wed., Jan. 16 at Moorpark College Library, third floor, 7075 Campus Park Road.

Poets and short-story writers can read their works at an open mic starting at 5 p.m. The featured poets and writers are Lisa Marie Sandoval and Adam Poisal. Justine Amado will host the program.

Prior to The Read, a writers' workshop will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. in the same place.

There is no cost to attend either program and members of the community are welcome.

The event is made possible by a grant from The James Irvine Foundation, and The Moorpark College Associated Students Board.
